Research
The surgeons at Adelaide Cardiothoracic have endeavored to build a strong research platform to support our clinical work. This has resulted in us publishing over 40 papers in many of the most recognised journals in cardiac surgery.
Working with our research team at Flinders Medical Centre, led by the highly acclaimed Professor Robert Baker, we receive support from major granting bodies including the NHMRC and the NHF, with additional support from RACS, Flinders Foundation and Corporate grants.
Additionally, students have been able to gain research scholarships including, NHF and University Postgraduate scholarships and the prestigious Sir Robert Menzies Scholarship to work with us at Flinders Medical Centre.
